CoolSculpting was not designed for significant amounts of weight loss. If you have more than 20 pounds to lose, you may want to talk to your doctor about other options.
CoolSculpting works differently than other methods such as liposuction which surgically removes the fat from your body. CoolSculpting is non-invasive and will destroy fat cells by freezing them. The results may take 2 to 3 months as the fat cells are shed from the body.
Even though some fat cells have been destroyed, CoolSculpting should not be thought of as a “magic bullet.” If the patient should gain weight, the remaining cells will grow larger, but since there are less fat cells in the treated area, there may be weight gain in other parts of the body.
To maintain your new shape, it is strongly advised to eat healthy meals of fresh fruit, vegetables, and protein, and avoid processed foods and frozen dinners. In addition to eating healthy, a good exercise program will be a great benefit. If you are not used to working out, speak to your doctor about an exercise program to avoid injury.
